Britain’s PM Starmer hails progress in Beijing as Trump warns Britain on China ties
Britain’s Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Friday (January 30) lauded the economic benefits of resetting relations with China during a visit to the country. He told a meeting of the UK-China Business Forum in the Chinese capital Beijing that his “very warm” meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping provided “real progress”. In Washington, replying to questions about the closer ties between Britain and China, Trump said, "Well, it's very dangerous for them to do that," as he attended the premiere of the "Melania" film at the Kennedy Center.
