Congress leader Rahul Gandhi visited Bela Estate, a settlement along the Yamuna, and raised questions over the deletion of voter names. He claimed that after the SIR exercise, only one of 728 voters remained on the draft electoral roll, while 727 names were removed. According to Delhi election officials, the names were excluded because homes in the area had been demolished, while eligible voters can seek inclusion again during the claims and objections period. The Delhi CEO’s website says eligible electors missing from the draft roll can submit Form 6 during the designated period. Rahul Gandhi met residents and spoke to the local SDM, questioning the basis for the deletions. Residents told media that they had lived in the area for decades and had previously voted.
